We’re proud to share that VITO will be presenting at Cell Symposia, “Chemical Solutions for a Sustainable Plastics Future”, taking place 13-15 October 2025 at the KIT Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Our presentation will highlight the LEGACY project: “Lignin-based epoxy resins as green alternatives for concrete coating”.
In short:
The project tackles the replacement of Bisphenol A (BPA) in epoxy resins with bio-based alternatives from lignin, a renewable and abundant resource. Through innovative processing, lignin is transformed into high-performance coatings tested for durability, adhesion, and resistance against harsh conditions. The goal: deliver sustainable, scalable solutions for the construction industry while ensuring safety and performance.
