Many interesting discussions with Prof Dr Rudy Koopmans focussed on how to look to biobased components as feedstock for plastics, and keep in mind biodegradability on the other hand. The discussion was led from the angle of developing technologies on chemical plastics recycling in which SPOT is leading specifically for additive removal and nitrogen and/or oxygen containing polymers and derived blends; and combining this with techno-economic insights, eco-design and material flow analyses.
